Great issue of BassMaster this month. It had a super article on the hot colors to use. It basically matched the optimum color choice with the clarity of the water.
Here’s the bottom line:
Clear water – use lures in the range of green to brown (Pumpkin)
Stained water – use lures that vary from purple to red (Red Shad color)
Muddy water – dark blue to black (Junebug color)
Pretty simple – even I can remember this.
