Cold Weather Fishing Gloves

It’s cold!!

Here’s a less expensive solution to keeping your hands warm than buying the expensive neoprene gloves like these (Men’s Curved Split Finger) that cost around $25 on Amazon.

I went to Dick’s and picked up a pair of neoprene hunting gloves and slit the finger to allow me to poke my finger out to deal with flies and other things.  Cut a slot for your finger and thumb and you are good to go.  Works fine and cost under $10.  You can probably pick these up on sale pretty soon.

Update:  After posting this, I got an email that said Sierra Trading Post has a nice set of slotted gloves on sale for 10 bucks!

Don’t get this kind unless you do not plan on catching any fish.  As soon as you pick up a fish, these get soaking wet and are useless.  I thought they were a good deal at 5 bucks at Bass Pro Shops. Now I know why they are so cheap.
